The sun streamed into the light pink Juicy Couture inspired room. Once is scanned across the white plush carpet it reached the brown and pink plaid bedspread, and didn't stop tell it rested on Addison's pale pink closed eyelids.
" Nooo. One more minuite..." I yawend and put my arm around my face to sheild the light. Then as an excact retaleation to the complaint, my iphone started blaring "Starstruck" by 3OH!3.
I knew it was a phonecall. And i aslo knew that on the other end of this was going to get the response of a angry bull being taunted with a dirty red rag.
" What Sam??!! " I yelled.
" Wakey wakey!!" Sam replied, with years of practice of handling the morning side of her friend.
" OMG you will never believe what i just fo-"
" Hold!!" Addison cut her off.
"Please tell me when your 6am wakeup calls are going to stahh-pp-uh" Addison whined.Once you learn how to wakeup at a time rather then hmm.. 12:30pm which would what you would do if you didn't have meh. And seriously, like how do you not have dark undereye circles, i mean you must.."
Addison dozed off while her friend droned on and on about unimportant things that annoyed her more than spongebobs ah-noying laugh.
 
"Addison? Addy are your even listning to me? Addison!!!"
 
" Okay Okay!! gawd let me at least freshen my face up and put decent clothes on so maybe then i will be able to listnen."
 
"Well call me back, kay?" she said.
 
"Sure" I replied and hung up.
Instead of bashing her friend she giggled silently to herself. She was used to sams perkiness..it brightend peolpes moods up.
 
I sighed as i got up and walked to the vanity.

Dad used to be my friend. He used to pick me up early from school and take me to go get ice cream while we would watch the cars pass by, making up stories about the driver and is passengers. He used to sneak up behind me and playfully throw me over his shoulder while saying "Gatcha squirt!" while I kicked my skinny little legs and screamed and laughed for him to put me down.
Now moms dead. And everythings changed.
5yrs ago, my mom was diagnosed from cancer. Even in the bed with tubes and ivs everywhere he could still make her smile. Everynight, after he would read me a story, i would look up at him with big sad eys and ask "Dadyy is mommy gonna die?" he would snuggle me closer and look up like he was deep in thought and say " No baby" he'd say "She'll live She'll live.
 
I remember vividy as he joyfolly picked up the phone, then slowly as he's smile faded and his face crumpled, I saw his body rack with heaving sobs, yelling no over and over.
 
I stood there with my eyes wide and scared, looking down at my daddy cry for the first time in my life. "Daddy" i said.my 7yr old voice cracking " is mommy okay?"
He looked at me with a tearstained face." No baby" He paused, the pain in his voice ringing in my ears, "Mommys dead." And then came more tears which continued forr 5 long yrs.
 
Now sitting at the table alone i blow out my candle whispering to my self "hapy 12 birthday riley"
